The Lean for Food Processors training program consists of a three-day Lean training component followed by a two-day hands-on improvement session (Kaizen) in a targeted or problem area of your organization. The outcomes include improved labour productivity, production capacity, R&D process, and improvement profit margins. This program results in Lean certification.

Hands-On Improvement Session
The Lean for Food Processors training classes will provide an introduction to various Lean tools and techniques as well as their application. It is designed as three days of training with a two-day on-site improvement session for a total of five days of involvement.
The topics covered in the Lean training classes include:

- Lean Thinking and Principles
- The 8 Wastes (DOWNTIME)
- Value Stream Mapping
- Lean Implementation Road Map
- Change Management
- Lean Project Management (PMO)
The fee which is $8,500 is subsidized by the Ministry so that the cost to participating organizations is only $1,500.
The program provides the opportunity to focus on a few of the tools with your staff using a hands-on approach during the two-day session.
